At Nelson Christian Community School we take our mission to heart. While we are a small independent school, we strive to achieve excellence. Our programs are geared to help students grow not only in their academics, but also in their faith in Jesus.

There are 3 parts to our mission:

CHRIST-LIKE CHARACTER

At NCCS we focus on growing student character. Students are given opportunities to learn about Christ and the example He set for us. Using Jesus as our lens, students begin to discover how to solve problems, solve conflicts, communicate effectively, and relate to others.

SERVICE

At NCCS we give students opportunities to reach out to local, national, and global communities in service. Opportunities can be as simple as raking a neighbour’s lawn or raising money for a global organization. Working together as a class, students see the importance of thinking beyond themselves to the impact service can have.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

As a small school we have the benefit of small class sizes and individualized attention. Students who need additional support or challenge receive it. Our programs provide flexibility where students can choose options in taking the specialty courses they excel in.
