Grade 7 and 8s in December!
Well it needs to be said, Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your holiday will be warm, loving and full of memories.
We have parent/teacher meetings this month. I am looking forward to meeting you all and talking about your children.
Learning in the classroom includes wrapping up a unit in Ancient civilizations, the start of paragraph writing, more training on the volleyball court, and practicing our Christmas skit for the December 20th program at the Bethel Church.
It really is an honor to be with these kids everyday. Their personalities are unique and interesting to me. I can begin to see growth in their writing skills and their group skills.
Sports is a great way to teach children how to play and respond to one another in a postive and creative way. I enjoy watching them work together on the volleyball court. Each team is simply working to get a lightweight ball over a net in three hits. This effort takes talk and taking direction - it really is fun to watch them grow in this area.
Merry Christmas everyone. It is with an open heart I ask that our Father in heaven bless you and your families this season. Thanks for being such great parents!
