Grade 7 and 8, March!
The grade seven and eights are marching on through the year! Here we are only a few weeks from spring break and I am proud to say this group of students are really getting things done.
We are learning a lot about faith as James writes about it in the New Testament. We have revisited the four characteristics of faith time and time again. Inclusion, Obedience, Authenticity, and Compassion are living actions as demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ. The students are learning there are fruits that are produced from doing these things and not just talking about them. These are self-control, wisdom, trust in God, and humility. As we continue our Bible studies, I pray the Lord opens up the scriptures to us so they can live out these wonderful characteristics.
The students have been busy writing! They have just finished their letters to their Prime Minister and we will be sending them to Ottawa. We do not know what kind of a response we will receive, but we are hopeful for a word from our country's leader. The students have addressed one domestic issue and one foreign issue in their letters, personal concerns they feel the Prime Minister should address or re-address.
I believe the class has become a very good team. We have been through ups and downs this year, and sometimes things have been challenging, but the Lord has been good to us. He has brought together a special group of students that are learning that its not the work we do, but the attitude we bring to everything we do!
"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:17
