Grade 7 and 8 in April!
April has to be one of the best months in our calendar!
17 "Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them,
18 “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death
19 and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!”
As a servant of our Lord Jesus Christ, celebrating Easter and teaching the most amazing story that will ever exist, to a wonderful group of kids, is a joy and an honor for me.
That's right, we are back in class! The grade 7 and 8 class is back from spring break and headed straight towards June. But before we get to the summer holidays, which can be seen as a smile in their sunshine eyes and their talk of plans alongside the warming, swirling air outside, we must learn some more.
In English class we are finishing a creative story write and will be moving into writing essays! We have been doing a lot of writing this year, and I have seen great improvements in their brainstorming, formatting, and editing techniques, as well as a much more clear written expression of thoughts.
In Social Studies we are finishing a fun look at Ancient Egypt Civilization. We are ready to answer the question, What is the legacy of Egyptian Civilization?
There are many day to day moments that make the classroom a fun environment to learn in. We learn more than just academics. Relationships between students have been formed and continue to challenge and grow each student. The group has become very comfortable with each other and feel safe to express their opinion during group discussions. It has been wonderful to witness relationships form, encounter stumbling blocks and then be restored and pruned by the Lord further and further.
All in all, we are excited to be in the month of April. We are brothers and sisters in Christ learning on all levels, in every way everyday Praise the Lord for this wonderful school!
